Yo, I’ve been sitting on this question for a minute. Not sure if this is the definitive list, but I’ll take a stab at it.

You can’t deny the connective power of a Sour Patch Kid — never met one person who didn’t enjoy them. Besides their horrid commercials, there’s not really anything bad I can say here. Love the sour part and the sweet part equally, as each flavor relies on the other to maintain the candy’s integrity. Once again, I’m getting dangerously close to a relationship metaphor.

Also can’t get mad at a Peach Ring. Is that marshmallow in there? Who can say? All I know is I wouldn’t kick these out of bed.

One might think choosing the all-American Gummi Bear is a cop out, but no way! Classic! If we’re talking specifics, yes, Haribo turns it out each and every time. Black Forest is also a contender, and a source of home state pride for this Illinois gal.
