I was listening to some Taylor Swift on the plane home, she’s my guilty pleasure, and there’s this song “Speak Now” and it’s about her barging in on a wedding during the “Speak now or forever hold your piece” part. In her fantasy the dude who’s marrying the wrong woman is too pussy to say anything so TayTay comes in and saves the day and they run off together to live happily ever after.
Yo Taylor, you’re kind of doing a disservice to your fellow women. Like, why are you even bothering with this dude. If he really did “Wish it was you” as you claim, he clearly never expressed those feelings to you because he’s going so far as to marry someone else! I don’t know the extenuating circumstances but is that really the kind of dude you wanna be with? A dude who marries someone because he has nothing better going on/cannot express hos feelings is a major red flag, sister. That, or you’re on some Young Adult shit and that dude is perfectly happy and you’re dealing with some pretty deep mental issues.
Also, why does Taylor Swift think everyone wants to date her? On that note, does everyone want to date Taylor Swift? I had some very lengthy convos about this phenomenon during her Jake Gyllenhaal period. My friend Monica has a very simple answer to this: “She’s sweet.” O_O
